As a state capital, St. Paul offers a different economic profile than Minneapolis. Government employment provides stability for many Arab families, and the city's lower housing costs compared to Minneapolis make it attractive for larger families. The community's legal needs center on refugee-related immigration matters—asylum applications, family reunification, and the path from refugee status to green card to citizenship—alongside the everyday legal challenges of building a new life in a cold and unfamiliar landscape.
